Shan Chicken Tikka Masala (Double Pack) – 100gms
Chicken Tikka Masala is a popular Pakistani dish that is made with marinated chunks of chicken cooked in a creamy, tomato-based curry sauce. The chicken is usually marinated in a mixture of yogurt and spices including garam masala, cumin, coriander, chili powder and garlic.
To make Shan Chicken Tikka Masala, season the chicken chunks with Shan Chicken Tikka Masala Mix according to package directions. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and add the seasoned chicken pieces. Cook for about 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove from heat and set aside on a plate. In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of butter or ghee along with 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste and sauté for one minute until fragrant. Add 2 cups diced onions to the pan and cook until they become soft and golden brown (about 5 minutes).
Add 4 tomatoes that have been finely diced plus 2 tablespoons tomato paste; cook for an additional 3 minutes before adding ½ cup whisked yogurt, stirring constantly so as to not curdle it. Then stir in 2 tablespoons Shan Chicken Tikka Masala Mix along with ¼ teaspoon chili powder (optional) before adding back in the cooked chicken pieces to the pan; mix everything together well until all ingredients are evenly combined with each other before simmering on low heat for 15 minutes covered. Garnish your finished dish with sliced green chilis (optional) before serving hot over steamed basmati rice or naan bread!
