Shan Achar Gosht Recipe Masala
Ingredients:
-1 kg mutton (cubed) -3 tablespoons coriander powder
-2 teaspoons red chili powder -2 teaspoons cumin powder -1 teaspoon turmeric powder
-3 bay leaves -Salt to taste -4 tablespoons oil or ghee (clarified butter) Instructions: 1. Heat the oil/ghee in a large pan over high heat and add the bay leaves. When they start to sizzle, add in the mutton cubes and turn down the heat to low.
Cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally until all sides of the meat have been browned lightly. 2. Add 3 cups of water and stir in all of the spice powders, salt to taste and cover with a lid. Simmer on low heat for 1 hour or until meat is tender and sauce has thickened up slightly. 3. Serve hot with naan bread or over steamed basmati rice!
