Bake Parlor Jalfrezi Macaroni
Ingredients
– 1 packet Jalfrezi Macaroni – 1/2 cup oil – 2 large onions, finely chopped – 4 cloves garlic, minced – 1 green bell pepper, diced – 2 cups diced tomatoes (or canned diced tomatoes)
– 2 tablespoons tomato paste – 3 teaspoons chili powder – 1 teaspoon ground cumin – 1 teaspoon garam masala powder – Salt and black pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and set aside.
2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the Jalfrezi Macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside in a bowl.
3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, bell pepper and sauté for 5 minutes or until tender. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin and garam masala; cook for an additional 3 minutes or until fragrant. Season with salt and black pepper to taste; remove from heat and mix into the cooked macaroni in the bowl until combined evenly throughout all ingredients .
4 . Pour macaroni mixture into prepared baking dish . Bake for 20 minutes , or until hot throughout . Serve warm with naan bread if desired
